Artistic Underwater Maternity Session | Florida Underwater PhotographerCreating Art: An Underwater Maternity SessionFlorida Underwater PhotographerAn underwater maternity session is more than just capturing photos of you and your gorgeous belly, we're creating a work of art for you to preserve this time in your life. From the colors to the fabrics chosen, we'll customize the look and feel of your photos to fit your likes and style.
Backdrop or no backdrop?I have a black backdrop we can use in the pool if you wish. This gives a more fine art look to the images and a clean background that doesn't make you feel like you're in a pool if that's not the look you want. It's also great if you're wanting blue or teal fabric or dress that would get lost in the blue look of the water without the backdrop.
Dresses and FabricsI have a variety of dress and fabric options in my client closet for you to choose from. From fluffy dresses to lace to long flowy fabrics that we can pair with a swimsuit or simple dress, we'll find something that suits your style. Those long, flowing fabrics can be fun to work with and allow for extra creativity in getting those ethereal underwater photos.
LightThe type of light we get at different times of day or by adding a light filtering fabric shade over the pool will also affect the look of the photos we capture. I'll show you examples to get an idea of what you're looking for and often we get some variety in the light during a session since the sun will change positions over the length of the session.
Faceless or Fully SubmergedThe beauty of underwater maternity sessions is that you don't have to have your head under the water for every shot. We can still create beautiful photos, capturing the beauty of your belly while you get a break from holding your breath and going under the water. Every underwater maternity session will have a mix of both kinds for you to choose from.
Are you looking for something magical and artistic to preserve this time in your life? Do you want to capture your pregnancy with a beautiful work of art to display? No need to have your own pool (April-October)! Contact me for information on scheduling an underwater session!
