Hi! My name is Kim and I'm so glad you're here!

After being an elementary school teacher for several years, I decided to stay home when my son was born. It was during this time that I was able to pursue my love of photography and still continue working with children. When my son was a baby and toddler, my husband was deployed more often than not. As I documented my son and learned how to take better photographs, I often thought to myself, I wish someone was here to capture this moment with me in it. So, I hired professional photographers to help me capture this chapter in my life, in my son’s life, with me in the frame. One of my favorite sessions was our Day in the Life session that captured all those in between moments that I want us to remember forever. I knew I wanted to help other families document their memories too.

The chapter of our lives when our kiddos are little passes so quickly. Once they are school-age, it almost feels like it speeds up even more as schedules get busier. We can never get that time back, but we can make sure that we have something to bring us back to those memories. Not only do I want to remember the small things, those in between moments that capture who we are now, individually and as a family, and our love and connection, I also want my son to remember that too. I want him to remember all the fun we had when he was young and that I was there too. 

I believe in capturing my subjects in a way that truly shows the essence of who they are. I believe in capturing relationships; both the happy and fun moments as well as the quiet ones shared with loved ones that show our deep connections; freezing those moments and memories so we can look back on them and be transported back to that chapter of our lives.  

I believe in preserving your family’s legacy with beautiful portraits that will be viewed and passed down by many generations to come. I believe your family’s photographs can be displayed as a piece of art with museum quality products. I believe your photography experience should be fun, enjoyable and stress-free. We’re stretched for time as it is, let me do all the work!

Fun Facts

I am a book nerd and lover of chocolate.

I love gardening and growing my own organic vegetables and herbs. I've learned a lot by trial and error and continue to expand my garden space. My most recent project was designing and installing a native pollinator and herb garden in a corner of my yard. I am loving how it's turning out!

I love to paint with acrylics on canvas. I've started incorporating this into my business by offering a clear, contoured brushstroke finish on canvases. I also love to play with clay and my pieces are usually inspired by nature. 

My perfect day would be spent at the beach hanging out with my husband and son, both of whom are my world. The beach is my happy place!
