Expanding the underwater side of my photography business has been one of the best things I've done in my business since relocating to the Space Coast near Orlando, FL. I started using a black backdrop in the water, giving the images more of a fine art feel and removing the "pool vibe". It's more work to set up, but totally worth it. This momma was a natural in the water and had been practicing for weeks prior to traveling to me for her session. Every underwater client receives an underwater session guide after booking with tips on how to prepare. Getting underwater and then getting into a pose/position is often harder than you might think for many people, especially when pregnant since you have extra buoyancy! Don't worry if you don't have access to a pool, or time, to practice. I will coach you to help you through your session. You don't have to stay under the water for very long each time you go under and there are things we can do without your head underwater too.

I love the simplicity of the back background and white dress and fabric that we did for the first half of this session. In the second half of the session, we removed the backdrop and the teal color of the water was a great contrast to the peach colored dress. I love when clients fully trust me and allow me to be creative and create beautiful images like these. I'm incredibly honored that my favorite image from this session received an Award of Merit in the 2023 NAPCP International Image Competition and another one won 3rd Place!
