Small Business Spotlight: Elyse DeLisle Print Studio - Cocoa FL I first met Elyse through book club at Hello Again Books. When she announced she was going to have a print show and demonstration at the bookstore, with print sales benefiting a local nonprofit, I was excited to find that there was a fellow artist at book club and knew I wanted to support her and attend. I brought my family along and we loved getting to see her process for making prints and brought one home with us too. Elyse is incredibly talented and a genuinely good human whom I have loved getting to know through book club. I was so excited for her to open her own shop in Cocoa Village and knew she needed to be my next Small Business Spotlight. With her new space, she's also started offering classes and they are so much fun! I love learning new forms of art and had a great time learning how to create and use a stamp (fun things coming soon with what I made). Tell us about your business. What services/products do you offer? Elyse DeLisle Print Studio is an art studio specializing in block printmaking and textile printing. We approach the very traditional artform with curiosity. Our studio space is community based, offering weekly workshops and classes. Our retail space currently showcases 13 artists who work in some form of printmaking.
What inspired you to open your business? I traveled the country for several years working as a full time artist. In this time period, I learned the value of community in the art world. I also believe everyone has the capacity to be an artist, all they need is a supportive environment. By opening a print studio, I hope to create a place for curious folks to gather and explore printmaking.
Who is your biggest inspiration in life/business? My biggest inspiration are my fellow artists who are making it work every day.

What do you love most about what you do? Watching someone try something new and surprising themselves.
What is your biggest success with your business to date? What are you most proud of? Opening the doors to my studio! My first studio space was a table that popped out of the side of a camper. How things have changed! I'm proud of all of the people who have walked through this door to try their hand at printmaking.
Do you have a memorable moment in your business that you can share with us? Again, I would have to say opening day! People came and went all day, but at one point we had 20-30 people just hanging out, chatting, and making art around the studio table. It was amazing.
What can your clients expect from you when they order/purchase from or book a class with you? They can expect a totally unique piece of artwork and/or experience. They can expect to fall in love with printmaking and all its possibilities.
Tell us three things about you that we might not know. 1) I'm a virgo. 2) I used to coach college lacrosse. I bring my coaching experience into all of my classes. 3) My last name is pronounced dee-lie-el.
