Pets aren't just part of the household — they're part of the family story, and that's exactly how I photograph them. This passion actually started years ago with a personal project, Companion: Kids & Pets, inspired by my own son and his bond with our dogs; watching that connection unfold in front of my camera showed me just how much love lives in those relationships, and how much it deserves to be documented alongside the rest of your family's milestones.

I bring a little extra to these sessions, too. Before photography, I spent years as a dog trainer — teaching obedience classes and working as a trainer for a K9 search team — so I know how to read a dog's body language and work with their energy. Whether it's a couple and their beloved dog, a family with young kids and the pet who's already claimed them as their own, or a session that's simply about you and the fur babies who are your family, these images capture something real: the connection that's been there all along.
