"What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that's gone forever, impossible to reproduce." ~Karl Lagerfeld
Fun & Stress-Free! - Session Prep
When you commission me for your photography session, I work to make sure that the only thing you need to do the day of your session, is get dressed and meet me at your designated time and location. My sessions are laid back and typically full of laughter (and sometimes bubbles!). Come ready to have some fun!
Your experience will begin with a client questionnaire and planning consultation. We will discuss what you have in mind for your session and it will allow me to learn about your family. We will discuss location options, clothing, and time of day that works best for your chosen location and your family. We will discuss pricing options during the consultation so that you have a good idea of the investment you are making in your photography session. It's important to have an idea of where in your home you would like to display your photographs or if you would like an album of your images as it will affect how we plan the session.

A Customized Photography Experience - The Session
Regular sessions generally last about 60 minutes and newborn sessions last up to around 2 hours. My photographic style is "lifestyle", meaning I'll work to capture that coveted "looking at the camera" picture, but I'll also capture those sweet moments that showcase the essence of your family and your relationships to each other. As a mother and former educator, I also have the experience with young children to help in capturing those special moments with young children (who typically don't want to cooperate!). Just be you and have fun and let me do all the work!
From where your location is, to what you wear and what images you are hoping to get, everything about your session is customized to your family and what you want out of it.
Every image is personally enhanced and hand-retouched by me with great attention to detail.

Archival Prints & Products - After the Session
Once your session is complete, we will schedule your viewing and ordering session. Here, I will walk you through choosing how you want to display your images and even help you with how to arrange them on your wall. All decision makers need to be at the viewing and ordering session.
My goal is for you to have beautiful photographs to hang on your wall, give as gifts, or an album that your grandchildren will flip through one day and cherish. Only printed products can be truly archival and your images belong on your walls and in your hands, not on your computer.
You will never regret having a portrait done and having it to look back on and remember that time in your life. Your children will thank you!

"We've been working with Kim for a few years and love her. She is so patient and gentle with our kids and is very creative when it comes to getting the perfect shot when the kiddos are not cooperating. Kim also has lots of experience and knowledge about lighting and angles and always has up to date equipment. With our last session, which was newborn/family pictures we ordered so many prints and a gallery wrap canvas because we just couldn't decide. Kim came to our house and helped us choose sizes that would be appropriate for our wall size...and if that wasn't enough...when the prints and canvas were ready, she came and delivered them AND hung them on our wall. Kim goes above and beyond and for that reason, she will be our forever family photographer!"
